This work is a result of the combined efforts of many people, both members and non members of NOSSA. It has been produced as a temporary reference for persons wanting to know more about the 300 or so orchids occurring or suspected to have occurred in South Australia.</description> <dc:publisher>No publisher</dc:publisher> <dc:creator>rbates</dc:creator> <dc:rights></dc:rights> <dc:subject>Orchids</dc:subject> <dc:date>2006-06-01T00:43:56Z</dc:date> <dc:type>Article</dc:type> </item>

Six members of N.O.S.S.A. and a number of Department of Environment and Heritage personnel surveyed two sites thoroughly and a third to a slightly lesser extent. The areas searched were Inneston, Chinamans Hat and Pondelowie. Each day we were fortunate to have one or more staff members with us.</description> <dc:publisher>No publisher</dc:publisher> <dc:creator>bjacobs</dc:creator> <dc:rights></dc:rights> <dc:date>2006-03-23T02:21:17Z</dc:date> <dc:type>Article</dc:type> </item>

Early cloud shrouded the summit of Mount Bryan as we drove to Peppermint Gully and cereal crops were ripening throughout this mid-north area. The greenhood flowering was less than that seen in Peppermint Gully in 2003 despite the area still being relatively green. </description> <dc:publisher>No publisher</dc:publisher> <dc:creator>tbridle</dc:creator> <dc:rights></dc:rights> <dc:date>2006-03-23T02:19:11Z</dc:date> <dc:type>Article</dc:type> </item>

The most obvious of these are off-shore islands, the largest of which is Kangaroo Island. There are however many more islands on water bodies onshore; these include islands in the Coorong, in freshwater lakes like Lake Alexandrina, in salt lakes and saltpans of which there are hundreds, as well as in rivers, ie Long Island in the River Murray, in private dams and swamps. Many of these islands are either conservation parks in their own right, part of a conservation park or partly conservation park.</description> <dc:publisher>No publisher</dc:publisher> <dc:creator>bbates</dc:creator> <dc:rights></dc:rights> <dc:subject>Featured</dc:subject> <dc:date>2006-03-06T03:23:59Z</dc:date> <dc:type>Article</dc:type> </item>

orderly plan for colonisation yet conceived. Much of the planning occurred in London, well removed from South Australia. Because it was thought that the colony of SA would support a much greater population than eventuated, many more roads were planned than were needed. These road reserves are now part of our state heritage by historical accident but are being sold off or leased to adjacent landholders with little thought to their heritage value as walking trails, fauna corridors and repositories of native flora. An alternative for these undeveloped road reserves is proposed.</description> <dc:publisher>No publisher</dc:publisher> <dc:creator>joneaton</dc:creator> <dc:rights></dc:rights> <dc:subject>Featured</dc:subject> <dc:date>2006-03-06T03:23:44Z</dc:date> <dc:type>Article</dc:type> </item>
